Protect your health during winter at work

With winter firmly here and flu cases on the rise, it’s important to remember some simple actions to limit the spread of winter viruses at work while protecting your own health and that of your colleagues.

Good habits to adopt

  1. Effective handwashing
Wash your hands regularly with water and soap, for example:
    • After sneezing,
    • After using the restroom, etc.

Steps for proper handwashing:

  • Wet your hands thoroughly and apply a good amount of soap.
  • Rub your hands for at least 20 to 30 seconds.
  • Rinse your hands well under clean water.
  • Dry your hands with a single-use towel or, if none is available, let them air dry.

  1. Cover your mouth and nose
When sneezing or coughing, either use:
    • Your sleeve,
    • A tissue.

  1. Ventilate the workspace
Open the windows regularly to refresh and renew the air at your workplace.
